About My Clients

Are you an expert at intellectualizing your problems, but find that you struggle to connect to your body and deeper emotions? Have you tried traditional talk therapy and felt frustrated that you're not getting to the root of your issues? Are you desperate to break free of limiting beliefs and patterns that are holding you back from accessing, accepting, and loving your true self? You want to feel in control and take back power over your life, but you feel stuck.

My Background and Approach

I am trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), a somatic mind-body approach that helps you to access the internal "parts" of yourself in order to shift patterns that are no longer serving you, build inner trust, and heal deep emotional wounds, leading to increased clarity, confidence, and harmony in your relationship with yourself and others. I specialize in working with sexual assault and emotional abuse, complex trauma, attachment, anxiety, and life transitions. I enjoy working with adults in their 20s and 30s, therapists, and folks in creative/alternative fields. My approach is queer-affirming, sex-positive, culturally-inclusive, and social justice-oriented. I look forward to hearing from you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a therapist, my work acknowledges larger systems (racism, patriarchy, capitalism) that impact mental health and I bring this into our work together. I am passionate about de-stigmatizing therapy and pushing against systems that pathologize mental health. I am committed to providing deeply affirming care that actively acknowledges and explores the impact of systemic oppression on marginalized communities. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked for 4 years in community mental health, where I provided individual and group psychotherapy, crisis-intervention, and suicide-prevention services to youth and adults experiencing homelessness, chronic medical issues, and co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions. I also worked in the re-entry field, providing trauma-focused individual psychotherapy to folks transitioning out of prison.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
