About My Clients
Do you struggle with perfectionism and procrastination? Do you find yourself overthinking or second-guessing almost everything and it results in chaos and stress? If you recognize that you are the go-to person, the one people can count on to show up and take care of it, and lately, you've been feeling burnt out, bitter, and even resentful then you are my person. Not only have I been there, but I've also worked with dozens of others just like us to achieve freedom and peace of mind.
My Background and Approach
How did I get here? Great question. I started my career in drug and alcohol treatment which was a baptism by fire. That foundation led to how I practice today, my therapy focus is person-centered, mindfulness-based psychodynamic psychotherapy. The belief is that our core beliefs influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This cycle creates patterns, these patterns serve to either help us or harm us. We can change the patterns by changing the core beliefs. Working with me, one would be able to gain confidence in owning their voice, be more comfortable with uncertainty and show up empowered to set and maintain boundaries.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer Black human, there are a number of intersections that impact me directly. The work I do is framed through the lens of LGBTQ experience and racial trauma. I am a sponge for learning and enjoy teaching.
