About My Clients
I support clients experiencing a variety of concerns, including day-to-day stressors, anxiety, depression, OCD, and more. I believe change and healing is best inspired by connecting with what matters most to you, whether that be friendship, family, safety, nature, or whatever else. With your values in mind, we will explore how to navigate fear, sadness, shame, and discomfort with greater self-assurance and self-compassion.
My Background and Approach
I completed my PhD at UC Berkeley and have since worked in community-based, school-based, and outpatient settings. My clinical approach draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Together, we will build a toolbox of proven strategies for navigating difficult emotions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I care deeply about human rights, diversity, nature, and compassion so these values show up in my work with clients. Together, we may explore how societal factors drive many of the mental health issues of today, how to connect with nature in a way that enhances mindfulness and activates awe, and how to maximize compassion in our relationships and self-talk.
