About My Clients
I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and person-centered therapy to help my clients develop healthy coping mechanisms and build resilience. I believe in empowering my clients to understand their emotions and make positive choices. I enjoy working with teens on navigating issues with friends & families as well as learning to navigate new intense emotions that arise in adolescence. I also love working with young adults transitioning to adulthood.
My Background and Approach
I have worked with many teens and young adults facing very challenging situations in my career and feel honored to share space with them as we work to make sense of their internal and external worlds. My Areas of Expertise include: Mental Health Issues: Depression, Anxiety, ADHD. Family Dynamics: Parent-child relationships, sibling conflicts, and divorce. School Stress: Academic pressures, bullying, and social difficulties. Identity Exploration: Gender identity, sexual orientation, and self-esteem. Trauma and Grief: Coping with traumatic events and loss.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In therapy sessions clients can expect a confidential and non-judgmental environment where they can express themselves freely. I work collaboratively with each individual to set goals that you want to work on. I believe everyone can benefit from meeting with a therapist during phases of transition in life. Having a neutral person to talk with can be so helpful and meaningful as you work to figure out your place in the world.
