About My Clients

I began my counseling journey ten years ago, working with a diverse range of clients, including at-risk youth, survivors and offenders of sexual abuse, foster children, and individuals with developmental disabilities. I specialize in helping people overcome fears and anxieties, using a person-centered, solution-focused approach to guide them toward a happier, more fulfilling life. I seek clients who are open and committed to making positive changes.

My Background and Approach

Life is hard and life is tough, but I am always trying to find the smile in each day. With a positive outlook and a calm demeanor, I firmly believe in the power of the mind. We have the ability to shift our emotions by changing our perspective on any given situation. From my own experiences, I understand what it’s like to feel at the end of your rope, and I also know what it’s like to move beyond those tough times and embrace a healthier, happier life." Through my work with families in foster care and students within the school system, I've gained a deep understanding of the challenges many people face. I find fulfillment in showing my clients that, no matter how tough things seem in the moment, there is always hope for better days ahead. Having handled numerous crisis situations, I’ve developed a strong ability to stay calm, focused, and composed, no matter the intensity of what my clients are going through.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that every individual is created equally. Regardless of race, religion, or sexuality, we all experience the same emotions; we all cry and feel pain. Each person deserves to have their emotions validated and heard. I understand that life can present challenges, leading some to feel trapped. However, this feeling is not permanent; there is always hope for a brighter day, even in the darkest moments. I believe that people possess more resilience than they often realize. With the right tools and supportive relationships, individuals can navigate through difficult times. As a therapist, my role is to assist clients in discovering what strategies work best for them and how to manage stress and anxiety effectively. I emphasize the importance of being present in the moment while addressing the stresses of everyday life. My goal is to guide clients in cultivating mindfulness regarding their current circumstances, enabling them to find the most effective paths to healing and growth.
