About My Clients

My ideal client is anyone who takes the brave step to make that first consultation call. I deeply respect the courage it takes to commit to mental health work. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, grief, or the challenges of a difficult life transition, I’m here to offer therapeutic tools to help you reach a more self-compassionate and peaceful version of yourself. You’ve already done the hard part by pursuing therapy—now let’s work together to achieve your goals and foster lasting change.

My Background and Approach

As a writer and storyteller, I believe that narratives hold immense power. What limiting stories have you told yourself? What has society made you believe? Together, we will unpack these questions and work to rewrite your narrative. I strive to create a nonjudgmental, trauma-informed, and warm space where you can gain clarity on the barriers in your life and learn how to address them. Therapy is a collaboration, and my goal is for you to feel safe, supported, and free to explore whatever is on your mind. In our sessions, you can expect compassion, active listening, and guidance as we navigate your thoughts and emotions. I believe that through this process, you can cultivate a greater understanding of yourself, build resilience, and empower yourself to create the life you envision.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

When people learn I’m both an author and a psychotherapist, they may feel confused, but I see these professions as interconnected. If you’re interested in people, you’re interested in stories. As a memoir writing instructor, I know that reframing our perspectives and redefining our narratives can be a powerful step in healing. To quote Joan Didion: “We tell ourselves stories in order to live.” The stories we tell—how we perceive ourselves and our relationships—are significant. Often, it takes an objective third party, like a therapist, to help us recognize our strengths and see ourselves clearly. I firmly believe in psycho-education as a cornerstone of therapy. I will work with you to understand the mind-body connection and the neurological aspects of stress, anxiety, trauma, and depression, empowering you to take an active role in your mental healthcare.
