I have over ten years of experience in medical and physical rehabilitation settings, walking alongside individuals whose lives have been profoundly changed by illness, injury, and disability. Through this work, I’ve witnessed the courage it takes to rebuild and move forward while bearing the heaviness of grief and loss.

I utilize a combination of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and person-centered therapy to help my clients develop healthy coping mechanisms and build resilience. I believe in empowering my clients to understand their emotions and make positive choices. I enjoy working with teens on navigating issues with friends & families as well as learning to navigate new intense emotions that arise in adolescence. I also love working with young adults transitioning to adulthood.
You have worked hard to be and do what is expected. You are a high achiever, go-getter, and set high expectations of yourself. But despite all of your accomplishments you feel your inner critic reminding you that you're not good enough, and you constantly beat yourself up about it. You feel burned out and exhausted from living up to the expectations of others and don't think that you can do it anymore. You know you want to feel better, to do more of what you want, but unsure how to get started.
Through an authentic and trusted relationship, my goal is to lighten your worry, troubles, and distress in a safe place, free from judgment. As your therapist, you can expect: • empathetic listening • honesty and trust • encouragement and empowerment • a welcoming space for you to be yourself
The Ryan Psychotherapy Group specializes in WOMEN'S MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, COUPLES THERAPY, and TRAUMA. Life's demands can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it's easy to lose sight of your own needs in the midst of everything else. We'll work together to foster resilience, improve your mental well-being, and create lasting change so you can step into a life that reflects who you are and what you truly want.
Being human is often tough. Sometimes we lose our way and can feel stuck and overwhelmed. Sometimes we would like to change parts of our lives or ourselves but don’t know how. Therapy can be an empowering way to promote healing, growth, and wellness. Often, we initially seek treatment to address a specific concern and then begin to uncover other areas of our lives in which we want to make meaningful change. My goal is for this process to feel supportive, affirming, and appropriately challenging.

Did you grow up in a controlling, high-demand religious environment? The adverse experiences in this type of setting can lead to feeling like you don't know who you are or what you believe. You may feel torn apart, like there are multiple versions of you in different settings. This can affect the way you treat romantic partners, coworkers, and authority figures. You may also feel conflicted about your identity, your sexuality, and even your body.
Who are you, really? People trust you with a lot—at work, at home, in your relationships—and you deliver. You’ve always had it together. But at what cost? Are you tired of feeling on edge, exhausted, or insecure? Maybe it’s hard to say exactly what’s wrong, but something’s not right. You know life could be better. Let’s figure it out together.
Seeking therapy may be a daunting or uncomfortable first step, but it is a courageous one. I understand the sensitivity and vulnerability that comes with seeking help, and I commend you for taking this important step toward growth and healing. Investing in yourself and your relationship through therapy is an invaluable decision that can lead to a deeper connection and a more fulfilling partnership.
I firmly believe that every one of us is born with inherent worth, strengths, and gifts. Sometimes what happens to us on life’s journey interferes with our ability to see those. Sometimes our self-worth seems elusive or lacking altogether. I have a passion for helping clients reclaim that self-worth and capitalize on those valuable strengths and gifts. Whether you have been struggling with addictions, compulsive behaviors, codependency, anxiety, depression, or more, I would be honored to help.
I specialize in premarital, marital, and relationship counseling in all stages of life. My clients are seeking support for a struggling marriage or simply want guidance to strengthen their connection. I also work with adults and teens (14+) facing individual struggles such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem to develop healthy coping skills, set boundaries and improve overall mental health. Ideally, my clients are looking for a freeing and transformative journey to a happier life.

Life can feel overwhelming, whether you're navigating complex relationship dynamics, managing work pressures, balancing parenting responsibilities, or processing difficult moments from the past. At times, it may feel like you’re barely holding it all together, and the weight of it all can leave you feeling drained, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. Give me the hard stuff, and let’s take the next step toward healing and growth. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
Thoughts like "I'm not feeling like myself," might feel central to the story of what brings many of my clients therapy. Things might look 'fine' to the outsider, but internally, the story looks different. My client is often the professional navigating various life roles, looking to build insight into patterns of struggle and enhance skills of support. My specialty areas are anxiety (including OCD), struggles with perfectionism, life transitions and stressors, and family of origin work.
Many of my clients are navigating challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. I work with teens and adults and offer sessions in English or Spanish, or both. We'll explore your unique experiences together and develop a personalized plan to overcome obstacles and build a brighter future.
Less than 16% of therapists in Texas are male, which may very well be why so many men don’t go to therapy. I specialize in men’s issues, including fatherhood, life transitions and stigma. Additionally, families often need support when raising their children. I work with families and children through difficult transitional times, such as grief, school anxiety, college transitions, and family communication.

I help adults navigate the ups and downs of being human, inspire new ways of thinking, and learn new ways of being. I trust that you are the expert of your own life and will treat you as such. Your experiences and feedback guide what's covered in therapy, which makes our time together individualized to who you are and relevant to what's going on in your life.
Do you suffer from chronic pain or anxiety? Have you had panic attacks? Can you fall asleep easily? I help with chronic pain management, anxiety (general anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder), insomnia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Do you have a habit you want to stop? I also help with hair pulling, skin picking, weight loss management or stopping smoking with hypnosis.
Whether or not they are preparing for a professional career, the artistic/aesthetic athletes I work with have a more complicated relationship with their body than their non-athletic peers and need that relationship to be at the top of their game. I also work with non-athletes teens and adults who are seeking peace in their relationships with food and their body, as we all deserve to have! I often say, "Nothing is too big, too small, or too weird to talk about in session".
You're grieving a loss that seems unbearable right now. Your life has immediately and drastically changed as a result of the loss. You feel like you can never come up for air when these "waves" hit you and knock you down hard. You turn toward others so they can witness your grief, sometimes offering their own opinions that don't make you feel heard and validated. You might sometimes feel like you're not understood and questioned "why you're still grieving" this loss.
